The Dustbuster, designed by Miguel Lopez and being 3D modeled by Nate Clowar is progressing steadily and quite nicely! I wanted to show off some of the in-progress images of the sculpt to show off how it looks. There’s still some changes, tweaks, and details to be added, but you can see the overall look. The tires will have more tread, the roll-bars/frame will be refined for production, and expect additional details to this upcoming 1/35 scale model release. Here’s the pics!

Miguel Lopez Collaboration

[singlepic id=242 w=420 h= float=]

Industria Mechanika would like to take this moment to announce another of our amazing collaborators. Concept artist Miguel Lopez aka Devilminer is taking us down to earth with some really cool AFV designs. The first few will be based on his Borderlands inspired vehicle/AFV sketches. The first will be the post-apocalyptic buggies called the Dustbuster and a modified Tread X6 in 1/35 scale. The illustrations he’s provided us to work from are amazing in their breakdowns and the finished kits will be a lot of fun to model.

Miguel Lopez was actually one of the first to start working with us, but we’ve been waiting to get some things finalized and for work to begin on his designs before making the announcement.Miguel is currently a concept artist at Isopod Labs in Los Angeles. Check out his websites and works at devilminer.com and devilminercom.blogspot.com.
